PyraMED is designed, developed, and tested with state-of-the-art .NET tools and technologies. It is a Windows-based client application and back ended with Oracle database technologies. Clients are compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows7 in 32 and 64bit environments. Oracle is supported on multiple platforms including but not limited to Windows, Linux, HP UX, Solaris, and others in 32 and 64bit environments.

PyraMED supports Oracle Databases in single instance, real-time standby, and RAC environments. The benefits of this are REAL-TIME data duplication (ZERO data loss) and automatic failover for minimal down-time. Student Registration Systems such as Banner and Peoplesoft are Oracle based.
